A story about The Knights
David, Laura, William, and Twiggy

After restoring and living in a historic home in Covington, KY for many years and six months after our son William was born (about mid-2013) we realized we wanted a more modern place. So we planned to put our old home on the market. After about 18 months of being listed (and a very patient realtor) we finally found a buyer for our old home. On Thanksgiving of 2015, we found ourselves living in a one bedroom apartment in the Northside neighborhood of Cincinnati, OH. That is 2 adults, a toddler and a 50 lb dog in very tight quarters. To say it was cozy is an understatement.
After scouring the home listings like mad fools. Laura found an unassuming listing for a 1962 post and beam ranch in the Turpin Hills neighborhood of Cincinnati. David at first glance was underwhelmed, but he gave in to Laura’s push and in January of 2016 we entered our new home, now known as the Richard Lakeman Treehouse. It took many months and visits to the home to come to succumb to the realization that this place was special and listened to our hearts that this indeed was “home”; but in April 2016, we finally became the caretakers of this magical property.
